Yasmeen Lambert
MSW, LSW
Psychotherapist
I believe therapy is about creating safe space for you to develop a meaningful relationship with yourself that supports your desired growth and change. I strive to be a collaborative partner with you in session, because you are the expert on matters regarding your own life experience. I bring empathy, authenticity, and flexibility to the therapeutic relationship, allowing me to understand a variety of experiences and perspectives. I believe therapy is a guide for helping you achieve and maintain balance in your life by tapping into your natural abilities and skills.
I have worked with individuals and families within various systems such as the schools, homes, communities, mental health facilities, and the criminal justice system. While working within these systems, I have worked with individuals struggling with PTSD, anxiety, depression, ADHD, identity and gender issues, community violence, and systemic racism. I strive to create an experience that is judgement free, safe, and comfortable, practical, and realistic, with a pinch of fun.
I believe that "know thyself" is the foundation to success. There is something to be learned from all our experiences, and guess what? This is your life to live.
