Group Therapy

Group therapy provides a unique opportunity for healing. Just like individual therapy, groups meet once a week at the same time each week. These are closed groups, which means that you'll meet with the same group of people each week. This is a way to make deep connections with people who share similar struggles.

Now accepting new members!

Transfemme Therapy Group

The Transfemme Therapy Group is an ongoing weekly psychotherapy group designed to offer a safe and affirming space for trans women, nonbinary transfeminine people, agender individuals, intersex folks, and those who are questioning their identity. This group welcomes adults ages 18 and older.

Facilitated by Staff Therapist Liz Thomas (she/they), an autistic trans woman with personal and professional experience in addiction, harm reduction, and recovery, this group promises to be a supportive environment where participants can explore and discuss the transfem experience.

In person group: Mondays at 5:30PM EST

Telehealth group: Wednesdays at 10AM EST

Mixed community Therapy Group

Mixed Community is for you if you identify with more than one racial/cultural background and have felt othered or isolated in your identity journey. People seeking to develop understanding, language, and community to clarify and affirm their mixed race experiences are invited to Mixed Community to co-create a space of support together.

The group will weave in somatic practices, psychoeducation, and story-sharing to learn about and discuss how our multiracial identities impact how we experience ourselves and the world. We will build on this growing sense of ourselves to sharpen our skillfulness and increase our ease in navigating the unique challenges, perspectives, and joys of living as multiracial people.

Telehealth group: Thursdays at 5PM EST

This group meets for 6 weeks.

Dates: January or February 2026

Hannah (she/they) is a Staff Therapist who brings close to two decades of experience working in community with people of all ages who are resisting and building care networks within and outside of multiple, intersecting oppressive systems. Hannah is interested in expanding our understanding of mental health to include community involvement, connections to ancestral legacies, and intergenerational wisdom exchange as crucial components of individual and collective healing. Hannah is mixed race, queer, and part of several diverse communities where people come together across difference to build a more just and connected world.

resistance lineages: a healing space

Resistance Lineages is a healing-centered space for those who are feeling despair about the state of the world and wishing to channel that energy into purposeful action relevant to themselves and their communities. This group is for you if you’re interested in exploring authentic, accessible ways to work toward broader liberation alongside others from a diverse range of backgrounds. The group aims to bring together people who are newer to activism, can hold awareness of their privileged and marginalized identities and all their intersections, and are wanting to move through stuckness in confronting the realities of the moment in community.

We will engage intrapersonal and interpersonal reflection from brief writings, meditations, and visual prompts to assess our energy, skills, and interests, as well as connect to capacities that already live within us. Ultimately, the hope is that this community will generate internal resourcing and group resource-sharing that can help each person plug into individual and larger scale acts of resistance meaningful to them.

Telehealth group: Tuesdays at 5PM EST

This group meets for 8 weeks.
