psychotherapist

Many of us carry discomfort we don’t feel safe to talk about for a million different reasons, such as feeling scared, misunderstood, or afraid of being told how we should feel. My role as your therapist is not to fix you, but to understand you. I’m a marriage and family therapist, which means we don’t just look at the problems; we explore the bigger picture. We see how your relationships, family, culture, and lived experiences have impacted you.

As a trans man, I know what it’s like to be in therapy and feel like you have to explain or defend yourself. You won’t have to do that with me because I am here to honor, respect, and advocate for your story. I use a warm and caring approach as I sit beside you to experience the discomfort. I stay with you and listen so I can show up in a way that helps you feel safe. Through this journey, we cultivate self-compassion, acceptance, and accountability because every part of you, past, present, and future self, deserves care.

I work with individuals, couples, and families that feel stuck in patterns or carry stories they wish to let go of. I specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ stress, anxiety, trauma and PTSD, stress, addiction, sexual/gender identity, and family/relationship issues. My goal in therapy is to help you transition from merely surviving to living with greater intention and connection. We make space to grieve what’s been lost, name what’s been painful, and learn how to respond to yourself with more compassion and care. Therapy with me is a space where you can be seen, feel safe, and begin writing a new story grounded in truth, care, and hope.
