psychotherapist
At the center of my work is the belief that each of us has a right to self determination. In therapy, we will work together to build the support you deserve; a healing relationship in which there is space to grow, play, change and become undone. This often involves attending to the ways intergenerational stories, difficulties, losses and traumas live in the present, in our relationships and in our bodies. None of us live outside of our historical, political or social context. As a therapist, I strive to bring my attention to the systems of institutional violence that affect our minds, our bodies, our communities and the land.
I have over a decade of experience working with queer and trans people from a variety of backgrounds. I've worked with a spectrum of issues including anxiety, depression, grief, shame, feelings of stuckness, dissociation, visions and hallucinations, racial trauma, PTSD, C-PTSD, coming out/transition, religious trauma and migration trauma.
It is difficult and vital work to turn towards our feelings, bodies, histories, and desires. I am committed to seeing you as a whole person and not as a pathology. I believe your symptoms hold important messages we can learn to listen to together.
