
Administrative Assistant position

Walnut Psychotherapy Center is looking for a part-time administrative assistant to join our team. Your primary responsibility would be staffing the front desk and supporting the Administrative team with various tasks. A successful candidate would be someone who is extroverted, community oriented, LGBTQ+ affirming, and detail-oriented with experience providing administrative support in a healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:

Front Desk - welcome clients, answer phones, monitor office supply inventory, monitor and resolve maintenance issues

Mail and Deliveries - sort, scan and process incoming mail and deliveries

Client Data Management - provide support maintaining digital patient records and generating reports using our EHR system, Theranest.

Client Communication - assist with client requests in-person and via email regarding office access needs, insurance benefit information, and more, while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Other responsibilities to support the Walnut Administrative team as needed
Desired Experience and Skills:

2-3 years administrative experience in a healthcare setting

2-3 years customer service experience

Extremely organized and methodical

Can communicate clearly and empathetically about difficult topics

Computer literacy
Bonus Points for:
-
Familiarity with Excel formulas and data handling (ex. VLOOKUP, COUNTIF)

Familiarity with insurance benefits and claims submission
-
Experience working with the LGBTQIA+ community
Compensation: $25 per hour
Time commitment: 20-30 hours per week - Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday
