Danny Wilfred
LAPC, MHCA
Intake Specialist
Danny is our Intake Specialist and often the first point of contact at Walnut Psychotherapy Center. They understand that reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, whether it’s your first time or a return to care, and take pride in helping people make that first connection with support every step of the way.

They hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University and are a therapist by training. With both academic knowledge and lived experience, Danny approaches mental health as a holistic journey, blending evidence-based techniques with creativity and compassion. Danny is especially dedicated to supporting LGBTQIA2S and QTPOC communities, aiming to create affirming spaces where queer and BIPOC individuals can heal and grow through expressive and creative approaches.

Outside of work, Danny finds renewal in nature, enjoys theatre and the arts, Philadelphia’s food scene, all things horror, video games, and time with their beloved pets. Calling Philadelphia home, Danny is proud to be part of this community and looks forward to supporting you on your mental health journey.
