damien ricio

msw Candidate
Clinical Intern

When the world tries to keep you down, recognizing your strengths matters. I believe everyone has resilience, and together we can build on the strengths that help you move forward. I want to meet you where you’re at, honor your lived experiences, and celebrate every step of progress. My goal is to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported as you explore what matters most to you and build a life that feels aligned with your values. I like to balance seriousness with humor, all while being patient and compassionate.

As a queer, transmasculine, Filipino person, I’m passionate about supporting folks with intersecting marginalized identities. I enjoy working with queer, trans, BIPOC, and neurodivergent adolescents and emerging adults. I aim to help those navigating gender/sexual identity, relationships, immigrant families, life transitions, and trauma.

It takes courage to open up to someone new, and you don’t need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. I welcome you to come exactly as you are. Together, we can work toward helping you become the person *you* want to be.
