Maggie sawyer

msw, lsw
psychotherapist

Are you feeling worried, depressed, or overwhelmed? Does something feel wrong but you aren’t sure why?

When you come to me for therapy, I will greet you with warmth and genuine curiosity. I aim to create a safe space for the things that are hard to say. My passions in therapy are truly hearing you and helping you find comfort and relief from trauma, anxiety, grief, and other concerns that may be getting in the way of your happiness. I love helping people gain insight into their lives, and I look forward to helping you unpack things from your past that are affecting your present. Using this approach, we can work on changing patterns you want to break free from.

One of my specialties is working with people who have experienced trauma. I believe in the power of therapy, your strength, and the transformative experience of healing.  I would be honored to join you on this journey.

I have experience working with immigrants and refugees, people who have experienced incarceration, and queer and trans clients in and outside of these categories. I have a knack for building relationships with people who were skeptical of therapy, or who had never spoken to a counselor before. Whether it’s your first time seeking therapy or your fifteenth, I am ready to know you and be in a therapeutic relationship with you in a way that changes both our lives for the better.
